Stating Your Public Relations Goals

Are you wondering what the PR objectives should be for your public relations campaign? In addition to elevating brand awareness, the campaign should also drive website traffic and sales leads, and measurably move forward your organizations’ business goals.

Consider these 3 PR goals:

  • Raise Brand Awareness: A campaign should expose your brand & expertise to an audience of target consumers in a media outlet they know and trust.
  • Boost Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Getting a link back to your site using a target keyword from another website with a higher domain authority.
  • Increase Lead Generation: Driving potential leads back to your website is an important . People may find your website link on the media placement, on an influencer’s social media or site or through a Google search. Once potential customers get to your site, you’ll want to use content and email marketing to capture them as leads and convert them to customers. I’ll be writing more about that in a future post.
