“Integrity is doing the right thing, even when no one is watching.” – C.S. Lewis

I’ve been thinking a lot about integrity recently, especially after watching the moving documentary, “The Way I See It” about Pete Souza, the White House photographer for Presidents Obama and Reagan.

As a public relations professional, honesty and integrity are at the core of my business. After all, clients entrust me with a lot of confidential and sensitive information. My value to them is in providing honest PR counsel, even in difficult situations, and prioritizing their best interests at all times.

According to Brian Tracy, the noted leadership expert, leaders with integrity follow the “reality principle” – they see the world as it really is, not as they wish it to be.

Here are  things that leaders with integrity practice:

????Doing The Right Thing: Leaders with integrity may not be the most famous or flashy. They do the honorable thing in any situation.
????Giving And Keeping Promises: True leaders are careful in making promises, but once they do, they deliver to a T.
????Facing The Truth: Leaders with integrity use objectivity, detachment, and reason to make rational decisions.

What role does integrity play in your business?
