Zoom Audio Quality Can Make Or Break A Media Interview

By November 4, 2020November 8th, 2020No Comments

Huh? Wadja say?

That’s what happened during a pundit’s national TV interview last night via Zoom due to intense echoing and overall poor audio quality. It completely diminished his appearance on national TV!

How can you prevent this from happening during your next Zoom media interview?

????Make sure you have a stable internet connection

????Set up/test Zoom technology in advance. Using the “test audio” option, launch a test meeting in which you are the only participant

????Adjust Zoom sound settings as needed by going to Sound Settings/Advanced

????Reduce background noise – use the Zoom suppression option (also check out the noise cancelling app Krisp) + be selective in choosing your location

????Make sure there is no echo when you speak; check Zoom’s echo cancellation feature.

????Use an external microphone; there are affordable choices from $20+

Have you experienced – and how have you remedied – sound issues during your Zoom calls?
