When Should Your Marketing Campaign Kick Off?
When should your #marketing campaign kick off? We were dealing with this client issue last week to execute a multi platform initiative.
The digital advertising we prepared was “ready to go.” Media materials we composed were approved. Every component was in the queue. But because the campaign is a response to a pending government agency announcement, which still hasn’t been released, we continue to watch the agency’s news site for signs.
Just today, we are activating the digital ads so we can start gathering data feedback and make adjustments to ad placement and content.
Timing your marketing or PR campaign can be like walking a tightrope. You want to have your messaging to get in front of the right audiences at the right time on the right platforms.
Things to consider:
📌When will key audiences be paying the most attention to what you are marketing?
📌Pay close attention to developing trends that may affect how audiences are thinking about your idea, service or product. Check Google Trends for insights.
📌Which platforms will have the most stickiness? Email, digital advertising, news (trade or consumer?)
How has timing played a role in your marketing?
