Still getting excited about media coverage
After many years of doing PR for clients, I still get excited when they appear in the media. So, when my client’s most recent contributed article ran on HealthyWomen, a popular women’s health and wellness site, I was psyched.
That’s when I started going through my media coverage checklist to make sure that the client is featured in the best ways possible
✅Does the article include a byline AND company affiliation?
✅Is there a brief bio with the clients’ credentials?
✅Does the article include a backlink to the client’s website? Note: This practice is appreciated but not always guaranteed by the publication
✅Is the content as we submitted it? Were there significant edits and if so, did the edits affect the efficacy of the piece?
Have you ever contributed an article to the media?
